Johnson Mugunju one of singer Eddy Kenzo’s managers has come out strongly to defend him over claims that he does not speak or write proper English. Over the last few days Kenzo has been ridiculed on social media for various posts he has made that depict a lack of proficiency in the English language.
The social media response comes from Kenzo’s expression of sympathy to Juliana Kanyomozi. According to his post shared on line, he said,
“I have just received the sad news that my fellow musician Juliana Kanyomozi has lost her solely son Rapheal Kabugo Keron.May the might God give her and family strength and courange in this sorrow moment..RIP KERON Inalilahi wa’inalilehi.”
Several people made fun of the post and shared it across the world.
Mujungu’s post also done on social made spoke at length as to why Kenzo does not speak or write proper English. It read as follows:
“My comment on those getting excited and all over themselves about Eddy Kenzo ‘English error/s’.
1- Eddy Kenzo is not English
2- Eddy’s success so far (more yet to come) has not and will NOT be premised on his mastery of the English language.
3-Eddy is Eddy, period.
Celebrate this talent…not many go through such life adversities and make it. While others are cheering him on, ours seem to be engrossed in tearing him down.
Eddy will rise and rise and rise for God ordained it. Muja kukakasa!!
Oh, and those seemingly dead bent on separating his and the kids success in the ‘sitya loss’ video/story explosion, think again and understand what Eddy is about.
Kenzo’s brief bio..
Eddy Kenzo lost his mother at the age of 5yrs that’s why he didn’t have enough education because he lost the mom when in primary one and he stopped school for that moment, at 7yrs Eddy Kenzo begun hustling on his own as a street kid, he stayed on streets for 13yrs. During those 13yrs, he got a Samaritan who helped him for one year at Kazo Primary (Nyabushozi, Mbarara District), due to some problems the Samaritan faced he was not able to proceed with studies. He went back to Masaka as a street kid where he then came to Kampala Nakivubo streets selling soda and water in Old taxi park and Nakivubo stadium during matches and other events, later alone joined Jjogo Yang under16 SC Villa as a footballer and Villa referred him to Lubiri S S for further studies as a junior footballer on bursary, he was always an active member of his school’s soccer team…
Johnson Mujungu
Manager for Eddy Kenzo.”
