Education and Sports minister Janet Museveni has on Friday morning released the 2019 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Examinations (UACE) results from the Office of the President Auditorium in Kampala.

Prof Mary Okwakol, UNEB Chairperson says there were no leakages and that the 2019 UACE examinations were conducted well.

“The board introduced new measures to enhance the accuracy of data capture. Each data set of every candidate was captured twice to eliminate discrepancy”

There is better performance in 2019 than in 2018. However, UNEB’s concern is that entries for science candidates are quite low. Only 30% registered for mathematics and only 10% registered for science subjects

Busiro South MP Peter Sematimba is one of the candidates who sat for the exams last year.

This is the official procedure announced by the authorities.

How to type the message

How to check results through the internet?

Go to your web browser, Type ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results.

In the form, enter the candidate’s Index Number and click SEARCH.

A page with the Candidate’s results will load.

However, last month, UNEB blocked the online option of checking results after pressure from telecom companies MTN Uganda and Airtel Uganda who were contracted to post results to students via Mobile SMS.

To this effect, the portal remained unavailable and Mr. Odongo advised parents and their pupils to utilize SMS services on mobile networks which will post results of candidates on their mobile sets instantly.

He said results will also be uploaded on the Schools Portals.
