Inspector General of Police Okoth Ochola has congratulated a member of his staff, Joshua Cheptegei for breaking a world record in the 10,000 meters race in Valencia. A statement released by Ochola reads
“The IGP would like to congratulate Inspector of Police, Joshua Cheptegei, for achieving an incredible milestone in breaking the world record in the 10000m at the Valencia world record meeting.
Your victory is our victory. We celebrate with you and further pledge to help you realise your dream of becoming the greatest distance athlete of all time.”
Cheptegei has steadily grown from milestone to milestone this year and has become Uganda’s leading Athlete in recent times.
