All Uganda Football Leagues are set to be canceled with the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) President, Eng. Moses Magogo prepared to present to the nation, the status of football in Uganda.

The address is slated for 11am, on Wednesday 20th May.

Professional football in Uganda was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a source at FUFA, the decision was reached after thorough consultations with various stake holders in the game.

For the sake of the Uganda Premier League, Vipers will be declared Champions while applying the 75% rules since at least each club has played 75%.

Maroons FC, Proline FC and Tooro United FC have been relegated to the Big League.

In the second tier, (FUFA Big League), Myda FC and UPDF have been declared eligible to apply for club licensing for the 2020/21 Uganda Premier Club licensing.

Kiboga, Kataka, Kitara and Ndejje will playoff before the next season starts to determine the third place fir sporting eligibility to apply for club licensing for the 2020/21 UPL season.

 

In the Regional League, the 1st round table is going to be considered. Group top teams for playoff and Pre-FUFA Big League Knockout playoff to be played.

District level will neither get a champion nor relegation.

FUFA Women Cup and FUFA Juniors League have been cancelled.

Uganda Cup is being monitored while expecting remaining rounds of matches to be played before next season.

FUFA Women Super League is also canceled without a champion nor relegation.

In the FUFA Women Elite League, 1st round Table will be considered meaning that Isra Soccer Academy and Makerere University Sportingly are eligible to apply for club licensing for the 2020/21 FUFA Women Super League Club License.
