Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone has been slapped with Ushs120 Million tax fee by  Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) for his numberless car.

Chameleone acquired his latest land Cruiser V8 estimated to cost around Shs258, 400,000 before taxes.

The Tatizo hit maker bought the car from Sudan but currently cruising it around town numberless.

The Leone Island boss is required to pay the taxes in Uganda before its given Uganda’s number plate, which has left Chameleone puzzled and stranded.

According to URA officials, Chameleone is supposed to pay about 120m in taxes for the car.

Chameleone has allegedly received numerous threats from URA that the car will be impounded if he doesn’t meet the deadline.

Jose Chameleone’s Tax Record with URA is not something new to Ugandans;

In 2014, URA slapped Chameleone with Ushs42 Million tax fee. According to the officials  from the Tax Body, the money accrued as a result of the singer not presenting his monthly  income as well as failure to remit the due taxes to the tax body for two years.

Chameleone by that time claimed that he didn’t know how he is being taxed and how the taxes rose to that amount of money.
