Embattled House of Prayer Ministries Pastor Aloysius Bugingo’s alleged petition that circulated on social media today has become a laughable matter among the members of his church. Bugingo, who is said to have filed the divorce petition at Entebbe Magistrate’s Church is rumored to be hungry to find a way out of his marriage, yet he has not serious grounds.
The petition lists cruelty from his wife and states that he has tried to seek mediation from elders without success. Incidentally he lists Pastor Kayizi, his new found friend of Harvest Church in Makindye, as one of the mediators.
One member of the church who is unhappy with how its affairs are playing out spoke us and told us that him and other members are fed up of the disgrace their beloved pastor is passing them through.
“I cannot believe what I am seeing. You see that so called divorce petition that has been put on Facebook. That is not credible. He is ashaming us. How can he say that he is a victim of harassment, yet he was the one who attacked Pastor Teddy on TV?” the Church member said.
The member adds that they are willing to defend Pastor Teddy when the moment comes.
In a related development, we tried to find out at Entebbe Magistrate’s court whether the petition had reached them, but all officials at the court denied ever seeing it.
It is likely that it is the work of mind games to give Pastor Bugingo an upper hand in a battle he has already lost.
Legal experts say that Bugingo will be hard pressed to defend his allegations because he must prove all the allegations in his petition.
