Lords Resistance Army (LRA) Rebel Leader Joseph Kony has written to President Yoweri Museveni seeking fresh peace talks.
Kony who abandoned talks in 2008 and returned to the bushes of Central Africa Republic (CAR) wants a resumption of talks.
In his letter to Museveni, Kony asks Museveni to consider a list of names to facilitate the talks and negotiate with him. Top on the list is current deputy speaker of parliament, Jacob Oulanyah.
Kony’s letter dispels rumors about his death, which have circulated for a number of years. It is also an indicator that he could be running out of options.
