KIU to hold groundbreaking ICT conference this month

Kampala International University (KIU), the leading private university in Uganda, will this month hold a ground breaking International ICT Conference.  The conference dubbed International Conference on Inclusive Information & Communication Technology (IICT) will be held from March 25-26, at the main campus on Gaba Road.

Official communication from the organizing committee explains the purpose of the conference.

“IICT 2020 Conference brings together leading Researchers and Practitioners from all over the world to present and share their innovative knowledge in multidisciplinary areas. Scholars who aspire to get their work recognized in the International arena are invited to participate at this conference where they will establish research relations, find global partners for collaborations and acquire knowledge to solve future problems with an inclusive perspective,” the conference poster reads.

The guest speaker at the conference is expected to be Hon. Elioda Tumwesigye, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation in the Republic of Uganda.

Professor Dr. Bunyamin Sahin, the Rector of Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University, Turkey and Professor Al-Sakib Khan Pathan, IEEE Senior Member, USA  and of the Department of computer science and engineering, Independent and Southeast Universities, Bangladesh shall present Key Note Speeches at the conference.

The IICT conference has been organized in partnership with One Million Teachers and Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University, Turkey.

Scores of Ugandan and foreign scholars will spend two days discussing different paper presentations covering a wide range of topics on Information Technology. The Conference is also expected to feature a Memorial Lecture for Margaret Mungherera, a prominent health practitioner who passed on in February 2017.

Attendance of the conference is open to scholars (lecturers, students and researchers), practitioners, and organizations involved in the provision of information and technology services.
