Celebrated Television presenter Miles Rwamiti has taken off to the village after the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) suspended him, his producer and his programme Koona for promoting violence. The incident, which saw Rubaga South Member of Parliament Kato Lubwama attack Promoter Andrew Mukasa (also known as Bajjo Events) got tongues wagging across the city.
In a strongly worded public notice, UCC castigated the suspended persons, for violating minimum broadcasting standards, and it will take a bit of time and appealing, for the show to be brought back.
Lubwama was angered by Bajjo’s attacks on him for not knowing how to speak English. Bajjo also accused Kato Lubwama of not being suitable to appear in Parliament, compared to the caliber of people he found there when they went to appeal to the Speaker of Parliament, to permit Bobi Wine to perform at their concerts.
Rwamiti posted a picture of himself in the country side with a caption: “Never regret the moments that once made you smile, becouse those are ones you will remeber forever.#goodwill
