Jinja police have arrested two local music artists over allegations of killing a Jinja based music producer identified as Geoffrey Mukisa.
The Kiira Regional Spokesperson Ms Diana Nandaula identified the suspects as Tairu Kaziba 21-year and Arnold Omongora 23-year both residents of Polota village, Kakira town Council in Jinja District.
She said the suspects raised the deceased on Monday evening to discus on the issue of the Shs5m they had contracted him to shoot for them a video clip for their songs but after failing to reach an agreement they instead beat him up and he was left in critical condition after they broke his legs, arms, limbs and skull.
Ms Nandaula said the Mukisa was rushed at Almeca Hospital in Mafubira Sub County and passed on at 11:00pm.
Mukisa commonly known as Kim Vibes is a resident of Budumbuli village, Bugembe town council in Jinja died in the wee hours of Tuesday.
By press time, the suspects were detained at Kakira police station and the body was taken to Jinja Hospital Mortuary for postmortem as investigations continue.
