KAMPALA-Dancehall artise, Cinderella Sanyu, has starred in a new Ugandan movie titled ‘BELLA’. The ‘run dis city’ singer has been intending to hit the silverscreen for many years, picking a leaf from various international music stars.
In ‘BELLA’, Cindy acts as Bella, a homeless young woman who survives the harsh life of Kampala by depending on her talent through singing on the streets. On one chanced evening, she runs into Sharon, a city prostitute at the verge of being raped whom she helps escape the grip of the rapist. It Is from here that Sharon learns of Bella’s talent and with time, she connects her to one “Baby Cakes”, a failing musician, producer and also client to Sharon.
Through this connection Bella’s begins to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Stella Nantumbwe, a former miss Uganda and Symon Kalema co-star in the movie with Cindy.
‘BELLA’ is set to be premiered on Sunday October 22,2017 at Serena Hotel, Kampala.
