Two days after celebrating his birthday on October 7, Engineer Ivan Kakooza, proprietor Nexus Lounge dies. Scores of friends, fans, family members and business associates thronged his Facebook page to express their sadness at his death.
Kakooza an electrical engineer started the bar four years ago and it has grown to become a leading spot especially in the Ntinda, Kiwatule, Najjera and Kira area while attracting clientele from hundreds of miles away.
Nexus Lounge later expanded to events and the bar was running side by side with Nexus Events.
Like many bars, Nexus was forced to close after the advent of COVID-19.
